Alongside our River Spey adventure, the River Tay is considered to be one of the ‘Big Four’ of rivers to paddle (the Dee and Tweed being the others) and this expedition is ideal progression for those who have some moving water experience, ideally on our River Spey trip. Our Loch Tay and River Tay expedition covers five days of paddling starting with a day on the open waters of Loch Tay. This entails adding to our repertoire of skills including rafting canoes together and sailing. The river flows through the renowned White Water Centre at Grandtully and rapids below Stanley where we will develop our ability to read the river and pick the best lines of flow through the rapids. We will camp on river banks and islands and enjoy cooking and eating together around the embers of our campfire. This expedition is unique in featuring so much variety of water to paddle and will test our skills and paddling.

ITINERARY:
